Traditional Territory Acknowledgement
Parsons acknowledges that the Giant Mine is located in Chief Drygeese Territory. From time immemorial, it has been and is the traditional land of the Yellowknives Dene First Nation. The Giant Mine site is also within Mǫwhì Gogha Dè Nı̨ı̨tłèè (boundary from the Tłı̨chǫ Agreement) of the Tłı̨chǫ government and on the traditional homelands of the Indigenous Métis of the North Slave Métis Alliance. The Giant Mine Remediation Project respects the histories, languages, and cultures of First Nations, Metis, Inuit, and all First Peoples of Canada.
